Elsabeth Girma, P.E. – Board Chairperson

Elsabeth Girma serves as the Chairperson of Ethio Eder and is actively involved in several nonprofit organizations, including DETECO USA and RIFCA's HOUSE , which focus on community development and humanitarian support. She also volunteers her engineering expertise on numerous projects in both Ethiopia and the United States, reflecting her deep commitment to service and community empowerment. A strategic and accomplished engineer, Elsabeth brings extensive experience in both public and private sector management. She is recognized for her strong leadership, strategic planning, and effective communication skills, as well as her ability to implement innovative programs that promote efficiency and sustainability. Elsabeth’s dedication to Ethio Eder is strongly rooted in her family’s history. Her father, the late Ato Girma Kifetew was one of the founding members of the organization and served with great devotion. Inspired by his commitment and belief in supporting the community during life’s most difficult moments, Elsabeth is honored to continue his legacy. She remains deeply committed to strengthening Ethio Eder and ensuring that the organization continues to serve families with compassion, unity, and lasting support.
